Have you been wondering about piano lessons for yourself or your family members? I offer both in-person and remote private or small-group lessons (piano, organ, rudiments, harmony, history, analysis) for all ages, specializing in intermediate and advanced levels. I have prepared students successfully for both in-person and remote practical and theory examinations. My studio recitals have become hybrid events with some students playing in person, others sending videos to be screen-shared and projected, and still others opting to play live via Zoom.

I have been a member of the B.C. Registered Music Teachers Association, North Shore Branch affiliated with the Canadian Federation of Music Teachers Associations since 2002. My students have successfully completed Royal Conservatory of Music (RCM) examinations as well as those set by the Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music (ABRSM). I have taught beginners of all ages, youth who have completed exams and want to expand their musical growth through repertoire that interests and motivates them, and adults who have no agenda other than to learn and improve their skills in order to enjoy music. Some of my students have had the opportunity to play in music festivals and e-festivals, and to perform with a live string orchestra; others simply play for themselves. There are so many ways to experience music, and I see myself as a guide, coach, and creator of musical community as well as a versatile and highly experienced teacher.
